The Grace Academy Darlaston Monuments

“In my dealings with Industrial Heritage Stronghold, I found that nothing was too much trouble and they were especially keen to represent the history of the local area in the artwork which has produced striking sculptures that really add to the look of our brand new state of the art facilities. Parents, teachers, students and the local community have all commented extremely positively about the figures and we will enjoy them here for many years to come.”

Phil Miles, Assistant Principal, Grace Academy Darlaston

This commission has seen the design, manufacture and installation of eight steel life sized figures based on the past, present and future of the area and its Academy. These figures are mounted on the entryway to the new Academy Building and mounted upon a specially landscaped earth mound to the rear of the building. They are an iconic artwork for the area and Grace Academy’s Nationally. The artworks have been developed through an exciting series of hands on series of workshops and history research sessions throughout the Academy.
